3- Rakeen Saad
Rakeen widely recognized for her role in Al Rawabi School for Girls and recently, she starred in the Netflix series Echoes of the Past. Her latest film, Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo, premiered at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year, marking a significant moment for Egyptian cinema as it made its return to the festival after a 12-year hiatus. The film is set for a theatrical release in early 2025.
Looking ahead, Rakeen will appear in Terrence Malick’s epic biblical drama The Way of the Wind. With a three-hour runtime, the film is targeting a Cannes 2025 premiere, offering her an exciting opportunity to reach an even wider international audience. She is also set to reunite with Rawabi co-star Joanna Arida in Zaid Abu Hamdan’s Boomah.
Amir El-Masry's breakout performance came with the 2020 film Limbo, a poignant drama directed by Ben Sharrock. In Limbo, El-Masry plays Omar, a Syrian refugee stuck in a remote Scottish town while awaiting a decision on his asylum application. His portrayal of Omar, a young man dealing with the emotional weight of displacement, was widely praised for its subtlety and emotional depth. The film was well-received at major international film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, and El-Masry's performance was recognized for bringing heart and authenticity to the character.
With a growing portfolio of work and increasing recognition, Amir El-Masry’s future in both Hollywood and international cinema looks incredibly promising. His performances continue to demonstrate his versatility and skill, making him one of the standout talents of his generation.
